Costa Rica

Meticulously crafted on acres of gently rolling terrain, our golf courses offer a spectacular collection of golf holes unique in character and strategy. Exceptionally playable for the beginning golfer, with plenty of interest and challenge for the expert player, Costa Rica's golf courses offer the optimum golfing experience for every skill level. With breathtaking views of the Central Valley surrounded by mountains and volcanoes... an ANAGOLF Tournament is one recreational experience you will always remember!

Rancho Las Colinas Golf & Country Club
Situated in Playa Grande on the Northwest Pacific coast, this Ron Garl (Las Vegas Country Club, Palm Beach Polo and Country Club) designed course is a challenging but fair golf test. A round golf here is a lot of fun, especially the early part of the year when the winds of the Pacific make each shot more exciting. When a slope is determined look for about a 130.

Tango Mar Country Club, Playa Guisales, Nicoya Pe
While we usually avoid recommending nine hole golf courses, Tango Mar is one of the exceptions. The course is perfect for tuning up the most important and most neglected part of your game. Laid out over gently rolling grounds and across the cliffs above the ocean, the resort's neatly groomed 10 hole executive golf course gives you a "great day's play" in the tropical surroundings of palm trees and exotic birds.

Costa Rica Country Club Sabana, San Josè
Holes: 9. Founded in 1944 this was the first course built in Costa Rica and the only one for the next 25 years.

Cariari Country Club, San Josè
The Cariari, considered to be the best course in Central America, is a beautiful place to play when arriving in Costa Rica, and with proper planning, a great way to end your stay as well. The Cariari was designed and built by golf course architect George Fazio on land that was once a coffee plantation. This par 71 course measures 6,590 yards from the Championship tees, but plays much longer.

The course is heavily wooded, the fairways are narrow with few fairway bunkers, and the greens lean toward the large side with sand traps throughout. The greens are Bermuda and roll fast and true. The course record is held jointly by Raymond Floyd and Costa Rican Alvaro Ortiz. The Cariari was the site of the Friendship Cup in 1979 & 1980. These PGA sponsored events were won by Larry Zeigler (2 under) and Raymond Floyd (9 under).

Par: 71, Yardage: 6590, Slope: 136, Arhitect: George Fazio Yardage, par, and slope from Championship tees.

Conchal Campo de Golf, Playa Conchal, Guanacaste
Conchal Campo de Golf is an ocean course with a desire to replace the Cariari Country Club as the number one golf course in Central America. No expense was spared to create a course on par with the spectacular resort it surrounds.

Beautiful views, sweeping fairways and large undulating greens, which makes this a big golf course. It is difficult to predict the slope rating for this course, but it is definitely a high number.

Los Sueños Playa Herradura, Puntarenas
Holes: 18. A Ted Robinson design, which was completed in January 1999. A Marriott resort project.

Los Reyes Country Club, Santa Ana, San Josè
Holes: 9. Founded in 1974. A private club and residential community in the Central valley.
